I’m amazed at how easy it is to start a campus in Florida! It took me just one day to apply for a Commercial Business Permit with the City of Bonita Springs, followed by the fire and building inspections two days later. The next step was registering for a business tax with Lee County, which was done the following day. In total, it only took one week to receive the Commercial Business Permit, now proudly displayed inside the waterfront campus of the National University of Medical Sciences – USA Center for Continuing Education!
In another country, this same process took over two years! This is one of the many reasons I love Florida. The United States embraces capitalism, which simplifies doing business—a system I deeply admire. Waiting two years for permits not only drains resources but also stifles growth. You end up paying rent without operating, losing money, and delaying hiring. It’s bad for both the individual entrepreneur and the economy.
This efficiency is why the United States is the world’s largest economy—it supports entrepreneurs and fosters growth. Now, we have our business permit, and it only took one week! Florida truly is a great place to do business!
